On Tiki Time

“Endless Water Views”

The owner saw an opportunity to create a dream garden and family gathering spot he always wanted. The objective was to create a pool to accommodate three generations that would often be there together, a large chickee Hut for shade and dining, an outdoor shower, and a real wood fire pit. Oh yeah, and a lot of palms, they loved palms of all kinds.

The pool, because of setbacks, needed to be in the center of the open lot, so we created a lagoon shaped pool that didn’t have “sides.” It was also raised the maximum two feet allowed by code to defend against future storm surges. Then we brought the grade up to meet it on one half. A shallow shelf is for easy lounging, the open center ready for cannonballs, and a bench nook for late night conversations - which also overlooks a small infinity edge on the high half that centers on the narrow view of the bay between the existing stands of environmentally “untouchable” mangroves.

A network of paths creates an adventure while winding through the lush gardens, connecting the outdoor shower and private fire pit created from four large custom cut chunks of coral stone.
